ABOUT
Athletic Summer Camp Instructors provide operational and supervisory support during summer camp programming.
Working under the direction of the head coach, Summer Camp Instructors help maintain organization, assist with camper supervision, and support activity facilitation to ensure a safe, positive, and engaging camp experience.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Camp Support
  • Assist the head coach with setup, organization, and cleanup of camp activities.
  • Help distribute and manage materials, equipment, and supplies used during camp sessions.
  • Support the head coach in keeping activities organized and running smoothly.
  • Follow directions from the Camp Instructor and Camp Director.
  • Work collaboratively with instructors and fellow assistants to support daily camp operations.
  • Help ensure campers have a fun and positive camp experience.

Camper Supervision
  • Help monitor campers during activities, transitions, and breaks.
  • Reinforce camp rules and expectations to maintain a safe environment.
  • Assist campers who need additional help during activities.
  • Help ensure campers remain engaged and participating appropriately.

Safety and Communication
  • Remain attentive to camper safety and report concerns to the head coach.
  • Immediately notify the head coach or camp leadership of injuries, incidents, or behavioral concerns.
  • Assist in maintaining a positive and inclusive environment for all campers.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to remain attentive while supervising campers

Part-Time Retirement

Part-time employees are required to participate in the part-time retirement fund. The retirement fund is invested in a group fixed annuity contract with Ohio National Life Insurance Company. Employee and immediate family use of the Apache Recreation Center - an indoor weight and exercise center, 18-hole disc golf course, covered basketball course, and outdoor ping-pong table and cornhole. The cost is $5 per ID.
