Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a highly experienced Native iOS Developer to join an enterprise mobile engineering team. This role is remote.
Summary:
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys spending the majority of their time building high-quality software while also contributing to technical design and architecture discussions. The ideal candidate is passionate about native mobile development and has deep expertise in Apple's mobile ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, test, and maintain native iOS applications using modern Apple technologies
* Write clean, maintainable, and scalable production-quality code
* Participate in architecture and technical design discussions for new features and enhancements
* Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, QA engineers, and fellow developers throughout the software development lifecycle
* Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices
* Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions
* Help drive continuous improvements in application performance, stability, and user experience
* Contribute to Agile planning, estimation, and sprint activities
REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
* Extensive experience developing native iOS applications
* Proven experience building production-grade mobile applications
* Experience designing scalable, maintainable mobile applications
* Strong proficiency with: Swift; SwiftUI
* Native iOS SDKs and frameworks
* Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a distributed Agile team
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working on large-scale enterprise or consumer-facing mobile applications
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for mobile applications
* Experience mentoring junior developers and participating in technical leadership activities
* Experience optimizing application performance and improving mobile user experiences
This role is approximately:
* 80% hands-on software development
* 20% technical design and solution architecture
We're looking for someone who enjoys writing code every day while helping shape technical solutions and engineering standards. The ideal candidate is a strong individual contributor who can also influence architecture and collaborate across engineering teams. This position requires true native iOS development experience. Candidates with backgrounds focused primarily on cross-platform technologies such as React Native, Flutter, Xamarin, or similar frameworks will not be considered.
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
