Job description

Position Summary

At Bensonwood, we strive to uphold the core values of quality, work ethic, teamwork, inclusivity, humility, and continuous improvement in everything we do. As a design-build company located in Walpole, NH, we are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our growing team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Communicate directly with clients, builders, and subcontractors regarding all aspects of BWC package fulfillment
  • Collaborate with changing teams of architects, designers, and engineers to ensure project feasibility
  • Work with in-house estimators to project cost information. Track and update costs throughout the building process
  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Prepare contracts and change orders, including negotiation on terms & conditions
  • Assess and monitor conditions and progress on site, principally through communication from our office; and occasionally through site visits
  • Maintain excellent and easily-retrievable documentation of processes, including meeting agendas and minutes, client decisions, specifications, job reports, and written and verbal communication
  • Work within PM department toward continuous improvement of processes and products
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in residential and/or commercial construction required
  • Minimum 1-3 years employment history as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager required
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study preferred and a high school diploma (or equivalent) required
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with strong attention to detail required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, web-based scheduling and communication tools
  • Experience using database accounting and project management software required
  • Basic facility with 2d and 3d CAD-based software required
  • Expert level oral and written communication skills required
  • Even-keeled personality with strong self-management skills required
  • Experience using Filemaker databases, Microsoft and Google Applications, and Sage 100 Contractor accounting software preferred
  • Demonstrated history of delivering projects on time and on budget preferred
  • Knowledge of high-performance building systems preferred
  • Experience managing internal and external project teams, including Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors preferred
  • Experience with the Design-Build method preferred
  • Experience working with AIA contracts and documentation preferred
