Position Summary

Connestee Falls Property Owners Association (CFPOA) is a semi-private, member-owned community located in Brevard, North Carolina, encompassing more than 3,900 acres of private property. The Server is responsible for delivering an elevated, personalized dining experience to members and guests in accordance with the Club’s standards of excellence. This position requires a strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu composition, daily features, wine service, and appropriate pairings.

Servers are expected to anticipate member needs, recognize preferences, and provide attentive, professional service that enhances the overall Club experience. Success in this role requires attention to detail, teamwork, a polished appearance, and a genuine commitment to hospitality reflective of a premier private club environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides attentive, personalized service to members and guests in accordance with Club standards.
  • Greet members by name when possible and anticipate guest needs and preferences.
  • Presents menus, explains daily features, and demonstrates thorough knowledge of food, wine, and beverage offerings, including appropriate pairings.
  • Accurately takes and enters orders into the POS system with attention to detail and timing.
  • Executes proper wine presentation and service following established Club protocols.
  • Monitors tables throughout service to ensure guest satisfaction and promptly addresses requests or concerns.
  • Coordinates with culinary and service staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of assigned stations and service areas.
  • Completes opening and closing side work as assigned.
  • Processes payments accurately and in accordance with Club procedures.
  • Adheres to all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Maintains a polished, professional appearance and demeanor reflective of a premier private club.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least age 18 to serve alcohol.
  • Minimum of one to three years of serving experience preferred; private club or upscale dining experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine presentation and basic pairing principles.
  • Ability to provide elevated, member-focused service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to operate a POS system accurately and efficiently.
  • Working knowledge of responsible alcohol service laws and regulations; TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
  • Professional appearance and commitment to the Club’s service standards.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to perform physical labor requiring continual and repetitive use of large motor skills to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crawl, crouch, shovel, push, pull, twist, turn, stretch, reach, and continual and repetitive use of fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and lift to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40lbs.
  • Must be able to work weekends/flexible schedule.
  • Must be able to work around equipment that generates heat.
  • Must be able to hear, see, taste, touch, and smell. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to distinguish colors and different shades of color.
  • Must be able to comply with safety and health requirements.
