Job description

Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP is seeking a Conflicts Assistant & Coordinator to support the firm’s lateral growth initiatives. The Conflicts Assistant & Coordinator will review conflicts reports, work with lateral attorneys to identify conflict issues, maintain conflicts database information and review staff and attorney intake materials. This is a remote position with preference for east coast offices. The hours for this role are: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review lateral hire paperwork, identify missing or incomplete information and work with Recruiting to obtain that information from the lateral candidate
  • Enter lateral name into workbench and perform corporate research and conflicts checks on porting clients and affiliated parties to generate conflicts reports
  • Work closely with the GC lateral attorneys on assignments
  • Interact with GC attorneys and other lateral team members to discuss conflicts data and any follow-up assignments
  • Maintain conflicts database to record and update all conflict related activities
  • Create lateral documents, including conflict summary shells and Excel spreadsheets for each lateral’s porting client matters
  • Enter pending matters that the lateral candidate is bringing to the firm. Once hire date is confirmed, transition those matters to the candidate
  • Follow best practices and stay current with process improvements
  • Work on other conflicts related projects as required
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and three years of related experience and/or training
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent client service is expected. Strong oral and written communication skills required
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Communicate and share information effectively, accurately, promptly, and with good judgment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while adapting to changing priorities
  • Willing to work overtime as needed
  • Working knowledge of various software, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with Intapp intake/conflicts software a plus

COMPENSATION: The national average salary range for this role is $45,000 - $82,000. Starting salary will be determined based on location, qualifications, and experience
