Job description

Senior Civil Project Engineer - Land Development

Role Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Senior Civil Project Engineer with a strong background in land development to join our team. In this role, you'll take ownership of technical design and quality assurance while mentoring junior engineers and supporting project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical resource and advisor in areas such as site design, grading, drainage, report preparation, and due diligence studies.
  • Leverage AutoCAD Civil 3D to review, design, and deliver high-quality project plans that meet company standards and deadlines.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, assisting with technical problem-solving and project execution.
  • Perform QA/QC reviews on deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance with engineering requirements.
  • Review, sign, and seal engineering documents in line with professional standards.
  • Analyze survey information, including ALTA surveys, easements, legal descriptions, and condominium documents, to assess existing conditions and development considerations.
  • Incorporate feedback from agencies, municipalities, and clients into plan revisions.
  • Maintain clear communication with Project Managers and Team Leads regarding workload, deadlines, and progress toward utilization goals.
  • Contribute to meeting the team's financial and project performance objectives.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in residential, commercial, or industrial land development
