Director, Commercial Account -Retail Market (Southeast)
Department: Sales - Retail Sales
Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time
Location: United States/Remote
Reporting To: Regional Vice President- Retail
Description
The Director, Commercial Accounts - Retail Markets is responsible for driving new business growth and expanding existing relationships across a defined portfolio of mid-tier retail accounts. This role delivers revenue and order intake objectives through disciplined execution of Glory's sales methodology and a strong consultative selling approach.
As a key contributor to Glory's growth strategy, this role leads new logo acquisition and account development across retail verticals including grocery, department store, QSR, convenience, and other cash-handling environments. The Director owns full lifecycle pipeline management-from opportunity creation through close-while building long-term customer value.
Key Responsibilities
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or communications preferred
- 7+ years solution-based sales experience
- Strong retail market selling experience
- Proven success engaging senior-level decision-makers
- Demonstrated new business development capability
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Documented ability to negotiate and close
- Proficiency with CRM, Excel, and PowerPoint

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Education Level:
• BA or BS preferred.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years solution-based sales experience. Ideally, sales for non-commoditized solutions is preferred.
• Sales experience within the retail market selling concepts.
• Position requires a "hunter mentality" and has demonstrated successful penetration of tier 2 retail accounts and has high level contact selling solutions and driving sales.
• Must be organized, motivated and possess the ability to follow a structured sales process and develop and execute a sales plan enthusiastically.
• Qualified candidate possesses the ability to provide a solution based selling approach (versus only product selling) to senior level executives
• Strong account management, closing and "win-win" negotiating skills are essential.
• Exceptional business writing and communication skills.
• Can create, modify and powerfully deliver Power Point presentations across all levels
• Can effectively use Excel and other MS applications.
• Experience in designing and negotiating winning sales proposals that involves calculating pricing to reach gross profit targets.

The ideal candidate will live in the Atlanta Metro area, but we will consider applicants that reside in one of the following states who are within 60 miles of a major airport **Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Kentucky, or Tennessee**
Job Benefits
COMPENSATION PLAN
  • Base Salary: $85K-$100K
  • Commission at Target: $120K + Bonus at Target: $80K
  • On Target Annual Compensation: $285K to $300K+
