Job description

SALARY RANGE: $17.37 - $23.24

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Under general supervision, handles and maintains the flow of materials and products through the distribution center in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with company standards and procedures.

Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM-12:00 AM.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for the accurate receipt, placement and storage of product within the distribution center in accordance with established company policies and procedures.

Responsible for the accurate timely picking, packing and shipping of merchandise in accordance with established company policies and procedures.

Transports and restocks products in their assigned locations maintaining first in/first out inventory procedures.  Ensures all operating procedures are followed to ensure efficient and effective space utilization and maintenance of facilities and equipment.

Completes all necessary paperwork and updates supervisor to ensure accuracy. 

Participates in periodic product inventories and annual inventory, include use of SAP.

Backup for Material Handler II or III as needed.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for the general cleanliness of the warehouse and maintains all equipment in accordance with company standards.

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school degree or the equivalent thereof.  Prefer some experience in a warehouse environment.

Must be mobile and can lift and load heavy items up to 51-70 lbs.

Must have the ability to learn and perform the duties necessary to provide the maximum service level required of this position.

May occasionally be exposed to or required to work in conditions that may include dust, fumes, chemicals with appropriate safety measures.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
