Job description

Advanced Management Strategies Group (AMSG) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support a prospective effort with the Washington Headquarters Service (WHS) Office of the Assistant Secretary of War (OASW). This is a Contingent Hire position.
AMSG delivers high-quality program and performance management services across a broad federal portfolio. Our clients include the Department of Defense (DoD), including the Marine Corps, Army, and Air Force, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Defense Health Agency (DHA), Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Washington Headquarters Service (WHS), and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accurate formation, justification, and execution of the F-35 Program budget for OASW Sustainment by providing expert resource management support.
  • Ensure uninterrupted F-35 financial operations by submitting all required DOW and federal budget documentation error-free and on time.
  • Achieve 100% adherence to DOW and OASW directives by delivering all required financial and funding documentation precisely and on time.
  • Document all OASW Sustainment transactions to maintain audit readiness under federal and DOW guidelines.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in resource management, including budget formulation, justification, and execution, in a U.S. Government agency.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Five (5+) years of experience with DoW Program, Planning, Budget Execution (PPBE) experience with the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) or Military Department Headquarters level.
  • Expertise using DoW financial activity systems, e.g., Defense Agency Initiative (DAI) including OBIEE and Hyperion, Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), G-Invoicing, Dormant Account Review Quarterly (DAR-Q)).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • OSW experience is preferred.

Place of Performance
  • Remote with a requirement to attend occassional onsite meetings at the Pentagon or Mark Center.
