The Opportunity:


The Commercial Insurance Associate is an entry point into commercial lines brokerage at HUB, and it's a role with real traction. You will work directly alongside experienced Account Advisors and Account Managers, supporting the day-to-day management of a commercial book of business. This is a behind-the-scenes role that keeps client files moving - and for the right person, it is where a commercial lines career gets built. You will learn how commercial accounts are structured, how underwriters think, and how the placement process works. Over time, you will take on more responsibility as your knowledge and licensing grow.

This is a full-time, in-office role and can be based out of the following locations:

What You'll Do:

  • Support Account Advisors and Account Managers with renewals, endorsements, and policy changes throughout the year

  • Prepare submission packages and gather underwriting information to be sent to our marketing team for new quotes and renewals

  • Assemble quotes and coverage comparisons into client-ready presentation formats

  • Track expiry lists and follow up on outstanding items to keep files on schedule

  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices and premium payments

  • Maintain accurate documentation in the broker management system (Applied Epic)

  • Participate in client and renewal meetings alongside the advisory team as appropriate

What We're Looking For:

  • A Level 1 General Insurance License is an asset; unlicensed candidates who are committed to obtaining their license will be considered

  • Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or a fast-paced administrative or client service role is an asset - we are willing to train the right person

  • Strong attention to detail and comfort managing multiple files or tasks at the same time

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; you are comfortable corresponding with clients and colleagues professionally

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Applied Epic or another broker management system is a plus

  • Organized and self-directed, with the ability to keep things moving without being prompted

  • Genuine interest in building a career in commercial insurance
