Job SummaryThe Technician will report daily to the EMCOR site supervisor and support the site supervisor to provide quality workmanship and high work standards to maintain a professional working environment. The primary responsibilities of this position are to be responsible for the general facility maintenance needs at the facility and performing general maintenance of equipment as required. Knowledge of and capable of performing carpentry/repairs and various general tasks assigned. Qualified applicant must be a US Citizen, possess a valid driver's license and have at least 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance and dealing with a wide range of general type services. Must possess a professional appearance, excellent customer service and communication skills.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerforms preventative maintenance tasking on all HVAC equipment. Repair and maintenance on all HVAC equipment. Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities.Ability to read and understand system blueprints and specificationsOpens valves on equipment such as compressors, pumps, and condensers to prepare system for operation and starts equipment and auxiliary machinery.
Reads gauges and instruments, adjusts mechanisms such as actuators, valves, controls, and pumps to control system operation.Responds to associated Hot/Cold temperature complaints.
Discusses system malfunctions with users to isolate problems.

Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. May be required to work in confined, restricted, and hot areas. We are also responsible for snow removal and there are times in the Winter season when most of the day is spent outdoors in cold/snow conditions. Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekends
