Job Overview:
Victory Ranch is seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role requires creativity, precision, and a deep understanding of sushi preparation techniques. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a critical role in delivering an exceptional dining experience and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and craft a wide variety of sushi dishes, including maki, nigiri, and sashimi, according to traditional recipes and individual customer preferences.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization in the sushi preparation area, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Select and source fresh ingredients, ensuring quality and freshness are consistently met.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and order accuracy.
- Innovate and introduce new sushi recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience and attract new customers.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff or apprentices on sushi preparation techniques and kitchen protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary for sushi and kitchen supplies.
- Engage with customers to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction with their dining experience.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role within a restaurant setting.
- Extensive knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, Japanese cuisine, and culinary trends.
- Strong knife skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Creativity and passion for the culinary arts.

- Food Handling Certificate or equivalent is advantageous.
