The ART Hotel Downtown Denver, Colorado, is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Technician or Hotel Maintenance Engineer.

Key Responsibilities for the Hotel Maintenance or Hotel Engineer include:
Maintenance and Repairs
  • Oversee routine maintenance and emergency repairs for hotel equipment, systems, and infrastructure (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and elevators).
  • Perform or supervise preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment.

Facility Operations
  • Ensure all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, are in excellent condition.
  • Maintain compliance with brand standards for property upkeep and appearance.

Safety and Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including fire safety and building codes.
  • Perform regular safety inspections and maintain records of certifications and inspections.

Collaboration with Other Departments
  • Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and food & beverage teams to address maintenance needs promptly and support guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or large-scale projects.

What We Are Looking for in a Hotel Maintenance or Hotel Engineer includes:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to diagnose and repair issues promptly across a variety of hotel systems
  • Understanding energy-efficient practices and systems to reduce costs and improve sustainability.
  • Certifications like HVAC Technician, Electrician License, or OSHA safety training are preferred.
  • Guest Sensitivity: Awareness of how maintenance activities can impact guests and taking measures to minimize disruptions.
