INTRODUCTION TO ROLE:
Camp Host responsibilities include greeting guests, answering questions, performing routine maintenance, cleaning lights, and possibly collecting campground fees. Using a creative assortment of methods, assist in promoting recreation operations and activities to internal and external sources.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, including the ability to remain calm and friendly when confronted with upset visitors or problems
  • Basic writing and computer skills
  • The ability to be on your feet, ride a bike, and/or drive a golf cart, and move around freely with guests
  • Ability to work positively with other campground employees and other staff members
  • Support all company policies and procedures

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON:

  • Preparing weekly revenue and attendance reports

  • Cleaning exterior and interior facilities (particularly bathroom buildings)

WHO YOU WORK WITH:
The Camp Host will report to the General Manager and work closely with the Assistant General Manager.
WHAT YOU BRING:
  • High school degree or GED equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Thorough knowledge of the recreation industry programs and amenities

WHAT IT TAKES (PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS):
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, or hear.
  • The employee must walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Working in an outdoor setting, the employee must be able to perform in all types of weather conditions.
