The successful candidate for this role has a strong understanding of thermal analysis principles, with expertise in some of the tools common in industry. As a Thermal Engineer you will conduct detailed thermal analysis of solid rocket motor components. You will collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams, interface with customers, and drive technical excellence. Thermal Ablative Analysis experience is strongly preferred. ** This is a full-time position with a 9/80 schedule. This position can be remote or at our Huntsville, AL or Hampton, AR facility. Essential Functions
  • Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Confers with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
  • Researches and analyzes customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • Specifies system components or directs modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Investigates equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.

      • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience

      • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
      • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
      Travel RequirementsUp to 25% travel likely. Pay Range (USD)$100,300-$135,700 Additional CompensationHired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company's Gain Sharing Program.
