Job description

Henry Ford Medical Group seeks a Neurologist for the Jackson Hospital. Neurology Dept in Jackson is growing and expanding to serve our community. Currently recruiting for a full-time Neurologist to join the employed Henry Ford medical group for our Jackson Hospital.

Jackson Hospital Neurology Opportunity

Our current practice is an American Heart Association Stroke Plus Honor Roll Elite Stroke Center. It is a reputable, robust, professional, attentive, and team-oriented staff. The practice currently has 3 fulltime, outpatient employed neurologist, and two full-time Neurology hospitalist, who covers majority of inpatient rounding and call. Henry Ford Hospital Jackson is the only hospital in Jackson County and has EPIC EMR (INPT & OUTPT).  We are looking to hire another fulltime Neurologist. Patient population includes stroke, TIA, seizure disorders, and other neurological disorders. It is anticipated that well be initiating thrombectomy capability within our Stroke program.

  • 4 MOS (medical office support)
  • 6 MAs (medical assistance)
  • RN
  • Visits: 60-70 patients seen daily by 3 providers (20% New Visits vs. 80% Return Visits)
  • Minimal inpatient coverage (Jackson Hospital has two Fulltime Neurology Hospitalist that supports and covers the majority of inpatient rounding/call/ ED coverage a year) Limiting on-call responsibility for the outpatient neurologist.
  • Fulltime 36 direct contact patient hours and 4 administrative time built in
  • Botox injections
  • EMGs performed in the clinic.
  • MRI onsite, with radiologist in the same office building to review cases
  • Neurosurgery is onsite in the same office building.
  • Ability to participate in grand rounds in person or virtually
