Position is hybrid if living in the DMV, remote if not living in the DMV.

On-site days are Mondays and Wednesdays in Alexandria, VA. Additional on-site days may occasionally be required for quarterly Company Collaboration Days and for client and team meetings.


This position requires an individual with the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
  • 2+ years of PR experience (exclusive of internships); agency experience a big plus
  • Fast learner with an inquisitive mind and eye for details, strong writing and communication skills
  • Creativity, self-motivation and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving, dynamic, collaborative and team-oriented environment
  • Problem-solving capabilities and inclination to seek answers to address challenges


Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Conducting reliable and accurate media and blogger research (editorial calendars, speaking opportunities, media/analyst list development) and providing teams with industry-relevant news and research
  • Securing client media opportunities in trade, consumer, business media and other outlets
  • Producing strong written documents, including pitches, speaking opportunity abstracts, client communications and general business writing
  • Monitoring clients' social media presence and draft social media posts on behalf of clients (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
  • Collaborating with vendors and managing work product
  • Producing client status reports and briefing materials for meetings
  • Actively participating in client/internal meetings, offering creative ideas/solutions
