Job description

Warehouse Worker - Parts

Summary: The Warehouse Worker - Parts position will perform inbound activities related to the receipt and storage of goods and outbound activities related to order-filling and stock replenishment. The Warehouse Worker – Parts position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate stock levels, receiving incoming shipments, organizing parts, and fulfilling orders for customers or other departments within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize UPS, FedEx, USPS and other freight carriers software to quote shipments and print shipping labels.
  • Receive and check incoming pick tickets.
  • Picking orders as requested by management.
  • Locate products in the warehouse.
  • Retrieve orders according to quantity, size etc. ensuring accuracy.
  • Build boxes or pallets with orders and position them to loading docks.
  • Placing containers on pallets, and securing with stretch wrap, shrink wrap and strapping.
  • Ensuring correct shipping information is attached and moving completed orders to shipping area.
  • Re-stock inventory manually or with warehouse equipment.
  • Keep records of completed orders.
  • Maintain equipment and report on malfunctions.
  • Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards.
  • Ensuring work areas are kept clean, neat and well-organized.
  • Packing incoming stock away, taking inventory and reporting shortages.
  • Ensuring correct shipping information is attached and moving completed orders to shipping area.
  • Loading and unloading trucks by using totes, jacks and forklifts.
  • Assisting in maintaining security of warehouse.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
  • 1+ years work experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with a diverse range of people.
  • Proficient with using tools required for this position.
  • Physically agile and dexterous.
  • Proficient organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate a stand-up forklift and a stand up reach forklift.
  • Ability to lift 80lbs at a time and stand on their feet for extended periods of time.

Requirements

  • Packing orders for shipment.
  • Must be able to operate a stand-up and sit-down forklift. Forklift certified.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to lift/carry 80+ lbs.
  • Ability to pass a full background check.
  • Must be punctual.
