Job description

Summary:
To layout, cut, weld, and assemble structural framework from materials such as aluminum and stainless pipe, plate, and extrusions. A mixture of GMAW and GTAW is involved in this process.
Job Duties:
  • Works with aluminum and some stainless-steel pipe and plate to produce various sizes of common and custom vaporizers.
  • Cut, grind, drill, weld, and test products according to blueprint specifications.
  • Fabrication tools include cutting tools, grinders, drills, MIG and TIG welding, and small hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)
  • Read and follow blueprints and materials list to obtain parts specifications.
  • Lays out, cut, drill, shape, and finish parts for assembly.
  • Create and use jigs as necessary to assist in efficient productive habits.
  • Compares dimensions of assembly to blueprint specifications.
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship.
  • Cleans work area during and at the end of each shift.

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. May be certified AWS/ASTM Welding in MIG & TIG.
  • Certified use of an overhead crane and steel handling equipment, Hazmat required. Will train in-house before crane use.
  • Follows daily production schedules outlined by the group lead or supervisor.
  • Follows clear, well-defined blueprints, sketches, and work orders.
  • Proper use of fabrication equipment to cut and weld raw material.
