Position Classification: Nurse Practitioner / / Transitional Nurse Practitioner (TNP will be under a maximum of 3-year contract paid at Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 whilst undertaking requirements to become an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner. On endorsement, the position holder will transition to NP Year 1).
Remuneration: $145,056.42 - $164,492.94 pa (+ superannuation + salary packaging options)

About the role
An exciting opportunity exists to join a team promoting quality of life and dignity for those with a life limiting illness.
The District-wide Specialist Palliative Care Service of the Western NSW Local Health District is a dedicated multidisciplinary team, supporting patients with a life limiting illness across a number of care settings including hospital, community and residential aged care facilities.
The Specialist Palliative Care Service, includes a team of specialist nurses, Medical Officers, Social Workers Occupational Therapists and a Dietitian. This team is supported by Clinical Nurse Consultants in Palliative Care.
Together this team work closely with other care providers and services to support clients, their families and carers across the regions of the health District.
The Nurse Practitioner position will support the delivering of advanced level, high quality end of life and palliative care across all care settings, but with a focus on community based care, in geographical regions where access to community based medical care is limited.
