The Overlake School is always seeking qualified applicants for the coaching positions for upcoming seasons. We offer varsity, junior varsity, c team, and assistant coaching positions.

Founded in 1967, The Overlake School is an independent, nonsectarian, coeducational, college preparatory day school. Requirements

Successful Candidates will:

  1. Be positive, caring, and supportive of the school's mission statement and be dedicated to the overall development of young people as student athletes.
  2. Work collaboratively with coaches, students, faculty, parents, alums and  administrators.
  3. Brings perspectives, identities and skills that reflect, affirm and enrich the  diversity of the Overlake community.
  4. Role model the behavior which the program demands.
  5. Possess  strong communication skills, be very well organized, and have a passion  for the sport. 
  6. Be able to pass a criminal background check in addition to having an acceptable driving record.
  7. Vaccination for Covid-19 highly encouraged


 Coaching experience at the high school or club level, as well as a background as a competitive player, is recommended.

Responsibilities include:

  • Complete one-day preseason coaches training on campus
  • Execute all team practices and games
  • Provide basic medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries (we'll train).  Ability to execute emergency plan for athletic facilities
  • Meet department coaching standards and season planning expectations
