Job Summary:
The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst is directly responsible for the review of accuracy, thoroughness and timeliness of license approvals, call quality, and compliance reports according to Agency requirements. The work assignments to be reviewed and validated, includes, but is not limited to the following: statutory compliance for applications documents submitted, statutory reference for violations in inspection and investigative reports, policy analysis and clarifications, information exchange through customer service with internal and external stakeholders, and corrective action plans. This position will facilitate and participate in various agency work group sessions focusing on the vision and mission of the Arizona Barbering and Cosmetology Board; complete individual work as assigned; and provide recommendations to leadership for streamlining internal and external policy and procedures.
This position may be available for remote work within Arizona (1-2 days per week in the office/hoteling).

Job Duties:
• Conduct secondary review of approved, denied, and pending applications to ensure staff adhering to statutes, administrative code and agency policies; identify system errors or bottlenecks in licensing processes and report trends to leadership; review out-of-country reciprocity applications to ensure documents meet equivalency standards for licensure; analyze and evaluate quality of work, prepare evaluations, and determine training needs; and conduct analysis to identify root cause of errors.
• Review investigative and inspection files to ensure all legally required documentation included and is accurate; ensure timeliness for notifications are met and all reports align with Board parameters; analyze errors and probable cause of errors; and identify trends, develop error trend reports and share with Compliance leadership for further training or remediation.
• Review recordings of calls conducted by the Customer Care representatives to ensure accurate information is shared consistently among all staff; and identify any misinformation and trends and notify Customer Care leadership to provide training to staff.
• Participate in User Acceptance Training (UAT) for updates to the licensing and compliance software portal to ensure compliance with all relevant statutes and Arizona Administrative Code.

Selective Preference(s):

Pre-Employment Requirements:
• Two (2) or more years of direct experience working within a state regulatory board that issues licenses.
• Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and apply state statutes, administrative codes, and board policies to daily to operational procedures.
