Job description

General Position Scope:

 

The Loan Officer/Branch Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining efficient and effective operations at the branch level to ensure the maximum profitability and attainment of bank goals. Incumbent will generate, approve and service an expected loan portfolio size over $2,500,000.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Directs and supervises branch staff toward the selling and servicing of bank products and services for prospective and existing customers.
  • Identifies, solicits, and develops new branch business on an ongoing basis by calling on current and prospective customers.
  • Opens various deposit accounts to meet the customer’s needs.
  • Generates, approves and services a personal loan portfolio relative to branch market and its customers.
  • Responsible for maintaining contact with loan customers regarding past due loans and the collection of such loans.
  • Participates in community affairs to increase the Banks’ visibility and to enhance new and existing business opportunities.
  • Conducts branch meetings.
  • Manages the building maintenance functions.
  • Prepares production reports for management.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including but not limited to:  Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc. Completes required compliance training and adhere to the Bank’s standard of conduct.
  • Acts as backup for Relationship Bankers and CSRs.
  • Participates in the bank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections program.
  • Makes referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
  • Five or more years of similar or related experience
  • Loan origination experience required
  • General computer and typing experience with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive reading as needed
  • Ability to make difficult decisions and handle multiple tasks
