POSITION DETAILS
Position Summary
Our Engineer Interns have an exciting opportunity to apply their engineering knowledge to develop practical and cost-effective solutions in these markets.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Interns should be in the process of completing the second year of a full time (or equivalent) BEng or MEng, IMechE accredited Mechanical Engineering (or Mechanical Engineering bias), Materials Science, or Electrical Engineering degree. They should be familiar with 3D design tools (such as Solid Works or Autodesk Inventor) and Labview programming, as well as fluent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Experience in simulation software (e.g. Amesim, Simulink) is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Support the CIRCOR Corona engineering department in various tasks including the following (Training will be provided):
  • Active participation in product development activities (sizing, analysis, CAD models, test data analysis, etc.)
  • Support development testing activities in the on-site engineering lab
  • Conduct tolerance stack-ups
  • Evaluate material BOMs for the certification of REACH and RoHS compliances
  • Technical report writing support (test plans/procedure, qualification documents)
  • Work on sustaining legacy products and drawing changes
  • Work on special projects as assigned
  • Support in template creation and data analytics
  • Support the creation of design solid models for new product development and manufacturing tooling
