The Rocket Propulsion Team on the Space Launch System (SLS) program analyzes, designs, develops, tests, integrates, and operates the various propulsion subsystems on the different stages of the SLS.
The ideal candidate will excel in both the engineering technical acumen/excellence required for this role while being an engaging and motivating people leader.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Flight Engineering
Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals
Acquire resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements
Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
Manage / Oversee project / program cost accounts
