Job description

This position is responsible for performing electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting, data collection activities in an industrial environment which includes; calibration, proper repair, precision installation, successful start-up, and reliability of all related facility electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Maintain a variety of control systems and electrical equipment
  • Install new equipment and/or modifications of existing equipment
  • Perform periodic inspections, testing, adjustments, calibrations and servicing activities necessary to assure the proper operation of process instrumentation and control systems.
  • Analyze and evaluate equipment failures and make recommendations and necessary modifications to ensure reliability standards are met.
  • Provide support to various areas within the production floor.
  • Prioritize work orders and emergency repairs based on equipment requirements
  • Reports to the supervisor about all ongoing projects with regard to project status, completion time projections and any problems that may have arisen during the course of the project.

Associates (two-year) technical degree in electrical engineering, technology or related field or equivalent work experience and education
Minimum of three years in an industrial environment.
  • Experience in testing processes; experience using electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and process controls (transmitters, control valves, DCS equipment, programmable logic controllers and recorders).
  • Experience with three phase motors and controls, lighting, AC and DC drives. Computer literacy in software applications for control systems and troubleshooting.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products
