Renewal Falls Recovery Center is opening a premier substance use disorder treatment center in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and we're looking for an organized, service-oriented Office & HR Coordinator to join our founding team.

As the first point of contact for patients, visitors, applicants, and employees, you'll play a critical role in creating a welcoming, professional environment while supporting the day-to-day operations of the facility. Renewal Falls Recovery Center, in partnership with Ascension Recovery Services, provides evidence-based treatment for individuals experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Our mission is to empower individuals on their journey to lasting recovery through compassionate, individualized care delivered by exceptional professionals.


What You'll Do

As the Office & HR Coordinator, you will:

ffice Operations

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, applicants, vendors, and team members.
  • Create a professional, welcoming, and trauma-informed environment.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and greet visitors.
  • Coordinate conference rooms, meetings, and facility logistics.
  • Order and maintain office and facility supplies.
  • Support internal communications and administrative projects.
  • Assist leadership with scheduling, reporting, and special projects.
  • Maintain organized office systems and records.
  • Coordinate vendor deliveries and facility support needs.


Human Resources Support

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and ensure an exceptional Day One experience.
  • Track completion of pre-employment requirements including background checks, drug screens, TB testing, I-9s, and onboarding documentation.
  • Maintain accurate personnel files within HRIS systems.
  • Prepare orientation materials and coordinate employee system access.
  • Track required training, certifications, annual education, and licensure renewals.
  • Support Joint Commission readiness by maintaining compliant personnel records.
  • Answer routine HR questions and partner with Corporate Human Resources to resolve employee needs.
  • Assist with recruiting activities including interview scheduling, candidate communication, and onboarding coordination.


What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of administrative, office coordination, receptionist, or HR support experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting Human Resources functions, including onboarding and personnel file management.
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as BambooHR, ADP, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, and healthcare compliance.
  • Previous experience in behavioral health or healthcare.
