ROW HOUSE COACH

Group Fitness Coach

Location: Parkville, MO
Compensation: [Hourly rate: $15 / Per-class rate: $20 / Bonus: $2/head (14-22)]

Job Type: Part-Time

Role Overview

A Row House Coach delivers the Row House class experience by bringing together music, movement, and motivation in an inclusive, high-energy environment. Coaches lead athletes through rowing, strength training, and active recovery while fostering connection, confidence, and community.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead group fitness classes for up to 25 participants
  • Deliver pre-designed Row House workouts with clarity, energy, and musicality
  • Coach rowing technique, strength training, and active recovery safely and effectively
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive, and motivating class environment for all fitness levels
  • Use music and rhythm to drive synchronization and energy
  • Build strong relationships with members to support attendance and retention
  • Represent the Row House brand on and off the mic
  • Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and educational sessions
  • Assist with studio tours and member interactions as needed
  • Address member questions or concerns with empathy and professionalism
  • Support studio marketing and community efforts, including social media when applicable
    Qualifications
  • Group Fitness or Personal Training Certification (ACE, AFAA, NASM, ISSA, ACSM, etc.) or a related four-year degree (Exercise Science, Kinesiology, etc.)
  • No prior indoor rowing experience required (training provided)
  • Strong musicality and comfort coaching to the beat
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High-energy, positive, and engaging presence
  • Passion for helping people feel strong, confident, and supported
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented studio environment
  • Professional, reliable, and open to feedback
