Job description

Who We Are
Imprint helps the world's best brands grow the lifetime value of their customers. We started with co-branded credit cards and rebuilt them to be smarter, more rewarding, and brand-first. We partner with companies like Crate & Barrel, Rakuten, Booking.com, H-E-B, Fetch, and Shell to launch modern credit programs that deepen loyalty, unlock savings, and drive growth. But the card is just the beginning. We combine advanced payments infrastructure, intelligent underwriting, and deep customer data to create delightful and personalized experiences for members as well as efficient and profitable relationships for our brand partners. Our robust technology and world-class operations allow us and our brand partners to offer powerful financial products without becoming a bank.
In the U.S., co-branded cards alone account for over $300 billion in annual spend, and most still run on decades-old legacy bank systems. Imprint is the modern alternative: flexible, embeddable, and built for how people actually pay today. Backed by Kleiner Perkins, Thrive Capital, Ribbit, and Khosla Ventures, we're building a world-class team to redefine how people pay and how brands grow. If you want to move fast, solve hard problems, and own real outcomes, we want to meet you.
Role Summary
As a Field Sales Territory Manager, you will serve as the on-the-ground face of Imprint's co-branded credit card programs in retail environments. In this role, you will work directly with store associates and members to drive card acquisition, improve program penetration, and deliver a best-in-class customer experience. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-first environment and is passionate about combining sales excellence with genuine customer service.
Locations: New York, Philadelphia, Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Cincinnati.
What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days
  • Established trusted relationships with store associates and management across your assigned retail locations, with measurable improvement in associate engagement and program enthusiasm
  • Demonstrated consistent application volume performance, meeting or exceeding daily and weekly acquisition targets within your territory
  • Completed onboarding and product certification, with clear fluency in credit card features, benefits, objection handling, and compliance requirements
  • Built familiarity with Imprint's performance tools and reporting cadence, with a clear personal plan for driving greater cardholder penetration across your retail footprint

Responsibilities
  • Serve as an on-site brand ambassador for Imprint's co-branded credit card programs, engaging store associates and guests to communicate card features, benefits, rewards, and promotional offers
  • Train and coach retail store associates on card sales techniques, objection handling, and program value-building their confidence and capability to independently drive card applications
  • Drive card acquisition by connecting credit card benefits to the in-store shopping experience and tailoring recommendations to individual customer needs and interests
  • Assist customers with completing credit card applications accurately, ensuring a smooth and compliant application experience from start to finish
  • Collaborate with store teams to meet daily, weekly, and monthly acquisition goals, contributing to a positive, results-oriented team environment
  • Track and report on store-level performance metrics, including application volume, associate engagement, and cardholder penetration rates, surfacing insights to your manager
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of the partner brand's products, promotions, events, and loyalty programs to effectively connect card benefits to the broader customer experience
  • Identify operational gaps or coaching opportunities at the store level and escalate with proposed solutions to the Head of Field Sales
  • Adhere to all applicable bank policies, procedures, regulations, and legal requirements, including those governing consumer credit applications and data privacy
  • Maintain scheduling flexibility as business needs evolve, including availability across store hours, evenings, weekends, and key retail seasons

Qualifications
Required
  • 4+ years of sales, retail, or customer service experience; experience in a credit card, financial services, or consumer banking environment is a strong plus
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse groups of customers and store associates
  • Comfort working in a dynamic, field-based role with regular travel across assigned retail locations
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing store environments, business priorities, and customer needs
  • Basic understanding of financial concepts, credit cards, and rewards programs; training will be provided
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs

Nice to Have
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or co-branded credit card programs
  • Background working within or alongside a brand with a significant retail footprint
  • Familiarity with training or coaching retail associates in a sales capacity
  • Bilingual language skills
  • Experience working in a performance-based or variable compensation environment

Perks & Benefits
  • Competitive compensation and equity packages
  • Leading configured work computers of your choice
  • Flexible paid time off
  • Fully covered, high-quality healthcare, including fully covered dependent coverage
  • Additional health coverage includes access to One Medical and the option to enroll in an FSA
  • 20 weeks of paid parental leave for the primary caregiver and 8 weeks for all new parents
  • Access to industry-leading technology across all of our business units, stemming from our philosophy that we should invest in resources for our team that foster innovation, optimization, and productivity
