Your Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, order necessary diagnostic procedures, and develop customized care strategies
- Diagnose and manage acute, episodic, and chronic diseases, collaborating with physicians as required or independently, depending on your credentials
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding preventive health, wellness, and effective disease management
- Prescribe medications and other therapies as per your authorized scope of practice
- Participate in follow-up care and chronic disease management
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated and comprehensive care
- Accurately document patient interactions within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Arkansas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Sharp clinical judgment paired with a caring and empathetic bedside presence
