Job description

As a Bartender in our iconic venues, you'll keep the drinks flowing and the energy high. You'll mix cocktails, pour drinks, and deliver exceptional guest service. As the ideal candidate, you're fast, friendly, and focused, understanding that in a venue with this much musical history, every shift is about delivering unforgettable experiences. Reports to Manager Food and Beverage.
  • Greet guests with a sincere welcome. Engage in friendly conversations to cultivate regular and repeat business.
  • Follow recipes and established techniques to prepare drinks.
  • Operate satellite bars, pop-up bars, and mobile beverage carts during events as needed.
  • Accurately fulfill orders and assist guests. Respond to guest inquiries regarding the menu, wine list, and entertainment. Suggestively sell and serve menu items, beverages, desserts, etc.
  • Proactively address guest needs. Respond to concerns and resolve issues with a professional, positive attitude.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance, alcohol awareness training, and company policies. Request proper ID per company policy.
  • Operate POS terminals accurately, handle payments securely, and reconcile financials at the end of the shift.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings. Perform defined opening/running/closing duties. Setup/breakdown bar locations at beginning and end of each shift.
  • Maintain clean and orderly dining and service environments during and after service. Bus bar top as needed. Follow sanitation procedures required by health regulatory agencies in both public areas and back of house.
  • Assist with inventory, product rotation and date labeling to ensure fresh products are readily available for preparation.
  • Comply with company issues steps of service. Follow all corporate policies, safety and security procedures, and brand SOPs. Promptly report accidents, facility issues, or unsafe conditions to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience
  • Previous bartending experience required. High-volume bar experience preferred
  • POS and cash handling experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated team player and self-starter
  • Able to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety-minded manner
  • Able to work during peak times, including evenings, weekends and holidays, to support business needs

Licenses / Certifications
  • State Alcohol Education Card required upon hire

Physical RequirementsSpeak and hear to communicate with guests and use both near and distance vision for operating the POS system. Stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces and while carrying items. Frequently climb stairs throughout the venue. Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and occasionally sit, kneel, bend, and reach. Manual dexterity for tasks such as using a computer.
Working ConditionsHigh-traffic outdoor entertainment environments with large crowds and elevated noise levels.
