Role Purpose

This role is central to creating an office people want to be in - not just somewhere they work from.

The Office Manager will play a key role in shaping the day-to-day experience of our NYC team, creating an environment where people feel welcome, energised, supported, and set up to perform at their best.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of the office - combining operations, employee experience, and close partnership with HR and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Office Operations:

  • Own the day-to-day running of the NYC office, ensuring everything operates seamlessly.
  • Manage vendors (cleaning, maintenance, supplies) and hold them to high standards.
  • Keep the office well-stocked, organised, and consistently high quality.
  • Liaise with IT to ensure systems and workspace resources are effectively managed to enable a productive, high-performing team.
  • Manage the office budget with a focus on both efficiency and experience.
  • Act as the key point of contact for building management.

Employee Experience:

  • Nurture a vibrant, welcoming, and high-energy office environment.
  • Bring ideas and execute initiatives that boost morale through employee engagement programs.
  • Collaborate in planning and delivering events, celebrations, and team moments that people genuinely enjoy, aligned with Artlist culture.
  • Support HR and leadership to continuously improve the employee experience.
  • Be a go-to person in the office - approachable, helpful, and resourceful

HR & Talent Acquisition support

  • Support onboarding and offboarding to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
  • Assist with recruitment activities and help ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Partner with the global HR team to align local initiatives with wider company practices.
  • Help connect the NYC office with the broader global team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an Office Manager or similar role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands.
  • Proactive, hands-on and solutions-focused, with a willingness to get stuck in.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business
  • Positive, approachable and service-oriented, with a genuine passion for creating an engaging workplace culture.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
  • Experience managing vendors, facilities and workplace operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a high-quality employee experience.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting employee engagement activities, events or internal communications.
  • Experience working closely with HR, Talent or People teams.
  • Experience managing office budgets and vendor contracts.
  • Experience in a technology, SaaS or creative business.
