Job description

Applicants in the New Orleans or Shreveport area will be evaluated first. 

The Senior Business Systems Analyst for Lending and Abrigo Ambassador supports and improves the bank’s lending and loan operations channels for consumer and business customers. This role manages system processes, vendor relationships, customer-experience improvements, and operational support for lending related platforms. The position partners with Operations, Sales, Compliance, Marketing, external vendors, and cross-functional teams to implement product and service enhancements, strengthen controls, support compliance, and ensure systems are reliable, efficient, and aligned with business needs.

Job Requirements

College degree in business, finance, or information technology is highly preferred.

5 – 7  years of combined technical and business analysis experience.

Proficiency in business analysis, requirements gathering, project planning, and functional design.

General knowledge of banking compliance requirements, regulations, controls, and audit expectations. 

Strong understanding of lending operations, credit analysis workflows, and loan administration processes.  Experience with Abrigo Sageworks preferred.

Project Management experience preferred.

Banking background preferred, with an understanding of lending operations and related controls.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Teams, Word, Excel, and related tools.

Working knowledge of software development methodologies, including SDLC, Waterfall, and Agile.

Ability to work effectively with individuals across varying backgrounds, organizational levels, and levels of technical expertise.

Ability to optimize the services of our partner vendors by effectively managing the relationships and their deliverables.

Self-starter with curiosity and initiative to evaluate and implement new solutions.

Essential Job Functions

Serve as the primary system administrator for the Sageworks platform, including Sageworks Credit Analysis, Loan Administration, and related modules.

Manage implementations of product and service enhancements for lending channels, including monitoring upgrade and system-change notifications, maintaining project plans, testing functionality, validating compliance with state and federal guidelines, and communicating changes to appropriate Bank staff.

Develop and maintain internal user guides, training manuals, and training materials for Abrigo and other loan applications.

Provide system and operational support to internal users experiencing platform issues, including researching and resolving problems, unexpected results, process gaps, and other system-related concerns.

Partner with Loan Administration, Credit, Loan Review and Sales teams to identify automation opportunities and support implementation of approved solutions.

Continuously evaluate Abrigo and other loan application configurations against vendor-recommended best practices and internal stakeholder needs.

Maintain awareness of current trends in banking/lending operations, with an emphasis on product and service development, delivery, support, and enabling technologies.

Maintain an active relationship with the Abrigo customer success team to stay informed on platform capabilities, roadmap items, and relevant product updates.

Serve as the internal subject matter expert and primary liaison with Abrigo vendor support and account management teams.  Monitor Abrigo product release notes and evaluate the impact of new features, updates, and deprecations.

Ensure platform configurations align with internal information security policies and applicable regulatory requirements, including BSA/AML, deposit regulations, FDIC, OCC, and other applicable guidelines.

Identify and implement controls to mitigate risk associated with new or existing products, solutions, and services.

Coordinate with third-party service providers supporting Bank Operations connectivity and services, monitor performance against agreed-upon service levels, and consult with vendors, Operations managers, and other departments to resolve issues.

Support scheduled system activities and recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet operational and business requirements.

Support generation and review of platform reports for bank management, system users, compliance tracking, and executive dashboards.

Conduct onboarding training for new users and refresher training for existing staff.

Maintain documentation of system configurations, change logs, and administrative procedures.

Participate in internal and external audits related to loan applications.
