Tube Bender
Temp to Hire
$26.00/hr
4/10 shifts starting at 6am, ending at 4:30pm; with a 30-minute lunch and 2 breaks (morning and afternoon)

Position Summary: The Tube Bender II is a skilled fabricator responsible for independently fabricating,
routing, and installing instrumentation tubing systems of moderate complexity. This position interprets
drawings and specifications, troubleshoots fabrication issues, and supports Tube Bender I employees
through training and guidance.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:
  • Independently fabricate and route instrumentation tubing systems according to drawings and specifications.
  • Operate manual and powered tube bending equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Read and interpret complex shop drawings, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and fabrication packages.
  • Perform precision bending, fitting, threading, flaring, and assembly of tubing systems.
  • Select appropriate fittings, tubing materials, supports, and mounting hardware.
  • Fabricate and install tubing assemblies requiring multiple bends and precise routing.
  • Perform quality inspections and verify compliance with dimensional and customer requirements.
  • Identify fabrication issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Train and mentor Tube Bender I employees on proper fabrication techniques and safety procedures.
  • Assist in workflow planning and job sequencing.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and defect reduction efforts.
  • Safely operate forklifts, cranes, and material handling equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of instrumentation tubing systems and industry standards.
  • Ability to independently interpret drawings.
  • Proficient in tubing fabrication, routing, and installation techniques.
  • Knowledge of fitting specifications and tubing support requirements.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet production deadlines.
  • Effective communication and coaching skills.
Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years of instrumentation tubing fabrication or related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on standard and moderately complex projects.
