Who We Are:
The HORD team, nationally known for our world class pig production, is currently looking for an experienced Class A CDL driver to add to our feed mill team. Headquartered in Bucyrus, OH, this essential position offers training on hauling feed, a supportive team-focused atmosphere, and the opportunity to stay local.
A Day in the Life:
Our Afternoon Class A CDL Feed Truck Drivers work approximately 45-50 hours per week Monday through Friday, allowing for consistent home time. Weekend work is minimal, with an on-call rotation that typically results in only occasional weekend coverage every other month Primary responsibilities include:
  • Operating a tractor-trailer feed delivery truck in a safe manner to transport feed from our feed production facility to our swine production facilities, either owned or contracted
  • Operating semi-tractor hopper bottom unit to pick up bulk ingredients such as soybean meal and wheat midds
  • Performing daily general inspections and topping off fluids on trucks and trailers
  • Climb feed bins and on top of feed trucks as needed

What You Need:
  • Candidates must not currently own or have routine contact with non-Hord pigs
  • Class A CDL and clean driving record are a must
  • Ability to climb feed bins and on top of feed trucks
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs., climb, bend, and sit for extended periods of time
  • Time management skills to ensure loads move on schedule
  • Impeccable record of reliability/dependability
  • Follow specific driving direction instructions provided for deliveries
  • Minimum 2 years CDL driving experience
