Manufacturing Technician - Contractor - C | Alpharetta, Georgia, United States Manufacturing Technician - Contractor - C Location: Alpharetta, GA 30004, United States About the Role Join a dynamic team as a Manufacturing Technician specializing in depot-level, component-level testing and repair of military avionics displays and control units for platforms such as C-130J, F-35, Apache, and Blackhawk. This hands-on bench position offers the opportunity to work with advanced electronics, develop specialized troubleshooting skills, and contribute to critical aerospace and defense projects in a temperature-controlled environment. Responsibilities - Diagnose and troubleshoot complex multi-layer circuit card assemblies (CCAs) at the component level - Utilize oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, spectrum analyzers, and in-circuit testers to isolate and resolve electronic faults - Read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to support precise repairs - Identify and replace defective resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, ICs, and connectors on populated circuit boards - Conduct continuity checks, voltage measurements, and signal tracing to ensure optimal functionality - Document depot-level repairs and maintenance processes accurately - Operate at an ESD-safe workstation using hot air rework equipment, stereo microscopes, and X-ray inspection tools Required Skills and Experience - Proficiency in reading and interpreting electronic schematics and circuit diagrams - Demonstrated expertise with bench test equipment: oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, and signal generators - Strong component identification and replacement abilities - Thorough understanding of analog and digital circuit theory - Hands-on experience with printed circuit board repair - Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and 6+ years relevant electronics repair/manufacturing experience OR 2 years post-secondary degree with 2+ years related experience Preferred Skills - Background in military avionics maintenance (2M, AT, AE, 94F MOS) - Experience with military displays (AMLCD, CRT, LED) - Security clearance (active or ability to obtain) Benefits - Work in a collaborative, temperature-controlled facility with state-of-the-art equipment - Exposure to cutting-edge aerospace and defense technology - Opportunities to enhance specialized electronic troubleshooting skills - Regular day shift schedule with every other Friday afternoon off (9/80 schedule) - Potential for career advancement and long-term assignment opportunities How to Apply Ready to take your electronics repair career to the next level?
