Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for planning and directing the operations and service delivery of quality dental program to the Seminole Tribe of Florida Tribal Community. The individual assesses plans, develops, implements, and evaluates the program staff and contract providers in order to meet the needs of the population ensuring compliance with the quality and quantity standards required by the Indian Health Service, and Seminole Tribe policies and procedures. The incumbent performs clinical dentistry and administrative duties; educates and counsels patients regarding their dental status and coordinates a referral system for patients in need of care beyond the core services and collaborates with the Seminole Health Plan. Doctorate degree in Dentistry, Dental Science or similar field is required. An active, current licensure as a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) / Doctor of Dental Science (DDS) in the state of Florida is required. A minimum of four (4) years of dental clinical experience with prior experience managing primary care clinics is required. Advance General Practice Residency (AGPR) /Advance Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) is preferred. Certification as Basic Life Support (BLS), Dental specialty care (i.e. pedodontics, orthodontics) and valid Florida Driver's License are required. Demonstrates excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications and software. Ability to travel to all reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
