Our company believes strongly in the rewards of community involvement and of giving back to the communities where we live and work. We have embraced schools as our priority. We actively participate with the schools in our areas. We sponsor many student incentive programs, offer discounts to traveling school teams, and provide them with various fundraising opportunities. Each year, our company is proud to sponsor our very own Wendy’s High School Heisman banquet, where we locally recognize the high school winners from our communities. Not only does our company give back to our communities, but so do our wonderful employees. Through our “Crews in the Communities” program, crews in each of the restaurants volunteer for a cause or event in their community. The crews have embraced the idea and to date have volunteered in over 100 events, including blood drives, raising money and walking in several Relay for Life events, preparing meals for the homeless, fixing up a local park, assisting with Special Olympics, helping at school events, reading to children in the hospital, delivering gifts to children, helping at a nursing home, and having an employee yard sale and donating the money to local veterans, just to name a few.
