I get to be social and have some fun talking with my coworkers and customers.

Upper management does very little and doesn’t understand the way we work our shifts. When stopping in, they micromanage. There are also occasional customer and employee freak outs. I know I could not get away with a freak out, but my coworkers often get away with not even a slap on the wrist.

The members! I love the people who use our gyms. Plus, the environment is great. You get to see people committed to changing their lives or just maintaining their health and it's very inspiring.

Pay isn't great, but the Job is pretty simple. Wish there were more advancement opportunities but it seems to be more about WHO you know rather than WHAT you know.

Low pay. Lack of upper management clarity. Cleaning gross things (should be paid more for it). The contracted night time cleaners do not do their job but upper management won't let them go and replace them and we have to do their job in addition to ours.
