I work as Banquet server, Service bar, Lead, Captain. I have been with Marriott 27 years. It’s a good company to work for they allow you to buy company stock at a discount. They have many other perks and benefits. The managers are very good. There well trained. The company encourages you to work your way up the ladder. In the banquet department, we do a lot of social occasions as well as corporate occasions. The sales department automatically charges a gratuity on top of the contract to the customer that gratuity is split among all the servers working that function plus our base pay, which is around 12hour…. They have great profit-sharing medical, dental,eyesight, benefits.

Although would not typically stressed sometimes you can be seem a little stressful because we may have many functions going on at one time and it may be very busy

I don’t think our paycheck is what we should get the paid for all the work we do we’re doing other hotels the hotel is making money but the employees are not making it. We actually don’t get recognize like we should I believe the people that work in the Laundry should get paid more for all the work they do. It is very hard.
