Description: Our client is seeking a dynamic Staff Psychiatrist for their Psychiatry department to practice clinical psychiatry in an inpatient setting and provide consultation to patients in the Emergency Room. This individual will participate in the medical education of students and provides supervision to the medical staff and Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner on the unit; as well as provides education, supervision and guidance to other staff members.

Educational Requirements:

• 
  
• CT MD License and DEA registration required.
  
• Board Certified in General Psychiatry.
  

Experience Requirements:

• 
  
• Prior psychiatry inpatient work experience strongly preferred.
  
• Minimum of 2 years of post-residency experience preferred (New Grads & Fellows in Psychiatry will be considered)
  

Desired Skills:

• 
  
• Demonstrate excellence in providing clinical care
  
• Geriatric psychiatry/Psychosomatic Medicine Fellowship training and bilingual English/Spanish language are a plus
