Carle Physician Group in Urbana, Illinois is seeking 4.2 experienced BE/BC OB Hospitalists to develop a full service 24/7 Laborist program to join our rapidly growing, large Level III perinatal services.  With over 425+ physicians and 250 mid-level providers comprising over 80 specialties/subspecialties and a service area of 1.5 million residents, Carle Physician Group is locally owned and physician led.  Our physician group is part of a not-for-profit integrated network of healthcare services that also includes Carle Foundation Hospital, a 393-bed Level I Trauma Center.

• Seeking experienced OB with high level of clinical skills and experience with high risk deliveries in a Level III center preferred

   

• Join a collaborative team of 10 BC OB/Gyn’s, 6 midwives, 5 NPs and2 PAs; full-time Gyn Onc and Level III Perinatal services supported by 5 Neonatologists and 4 Maternal Medicine Specialists

   

• Provide 24/7 coverage, 12 – 24 hour shifts alongside on-call OB/Gyn; 24 hour dedicated anesthesia, trauma and neonate coverage

   

• Duties include the triage, evaluation and management of patients in Labor & Delivery, vaginal deliveries, C-sections and assisting other members of the OB and Family Medicine medical staff

   

• Average 230 - 250  births monthly

   

• Program will contribute to the development and execution of OB safety and quality initiatives, education of medical students and residents, and process improvement

   

• Our Antenatal Care Center for high risk patients and those with fetal anomalies, establishes a pathway of care from diagnostics through delivery and into the neonatal period, utilizing available OB and pediatric subspecialties

• State-of-the-art, family-oriented L&D unit with 5 private triage rooms, 2 private Jacuzzi suites, and 6 spacious fully-appointed LDRs, and an in-house antepartum care unit and 8 LDRP suites
