Veterinary Technician

Little Critters Veterinary Hospital is Looking for full or part-tIme Pet Nurse to join our team. We only hire experienced nurses who are dedicated to patient and client care. Must like both People and Pets. Applicants with less experience are started as veterinary technician assistants. We practice quality medicine and surgery with a focus on prevention and client education. Nurses are highly utilized as nurses. We care deeply about our patients and clients and are looking for nurses who wish to practice their career at the highest level possible. We see all dogs, cats and exotic patients (many). Exotics include rabbits, birds, reptiles, rodents, pigs, goats and more. We provide digital dental x-ray and a high level of advanced dental care. We also have DR digital whole body x-ray, ultrasound, complete in-house Idexx suite, avimark paperless practice software and provide soft tissue surgery. A minimum of 1-year experience required for this position and more is encouraged. Technical skills needed include dentistry, surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring, catheter placement, fluid therapy, blood draws on various animals, a good understanding of preventative health care needs, and exotic pet care a plus. Strong verbal skills for client communication, the ability to multitask, attention to details, avimark paperless practice skills, strong math and spelling skills and a positive attitude are needed.  Looking for a team member with a desire to work with others who share your passion for pet and client care.
