Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine

our Seasons Veterinary Specialists located on east side of Loveland is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine team.  We are a 24 hour Emergency and Specialty facility providing urgent and critical care to animals.  With a staff of 55 dedicated specialists and team members, a state of the art facility, providing care to a diverse population of referral, urgent, critical and emergency patients at our hospital.  We are team devoted to providing our patients, their families and their veterinarians with high quality patient care and excellent client service.

We are seeking a mature, competent Technician with solid technical skills looking for a full time position to join our Internal Medicine team.  The Internal Medicine Technician is responsible for monitoring hospitalized patients, assisting with and administering treatments and patient care, client education, scheduling, assisting with procedures and answering technician calls. The Internal Medicine Technician must be proficient at IV catheters, blood draws, laboratory procedures, monitoring anesthesia, medication administration and triaging.   If this describes you, then we want you on our team!

Skills and Qualifications

Required: 

*Ability to appropriately handle, lift and restrain animals and stand for periods of time.

* Be proficient at IV catheters, blood draws, laboratory procedures, monitoring anesthesia, medication administration and triaging.

*Have basic organizational and computer skills.

*Knowledge of veterinary practices, procedures and terminology with willingness to

pursue further education.

*Familiar with federal and state animal health laws, including OSHA and DEA regulations.

Preferred: 

*Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT).

*One year of recent experience in veterinary practice with increasing responsibilities.

*Experience with the software- Cornerstone.
