Development Officer

Our client, Farm Rescue located in Fargo, ND, is seeking a sales-oriented, self-motivated individual as a Development Officer. This position is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and securing sustainable funding for the organization through sponsorships, donations, fundraising, planned giving, and all other funding opportunities. Specific duties include but are not limited to soliciting and developing prospective donors, organizing events, writing and researching grants, and working with the Operations Director and staff to support organization goals.

Qualifications include a Bachelor degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Public Relations or closely related field with 3 plus years’ working experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with others. Experience in fundraising, sales, and/or marketing along with a motivated and engaging personality is essential to this position. Past nonprofit experience and knowledge of Sales Force and Team Work software’s are a plus. Approx 60% travel is required in the Midwest area.
