We are currently searching for a Physician Assistant to join a medical aesthetic/medical weight loss medical clinic in the Hartford, CT area. The clinic is conveniently located 15 minutes South of Hartford. This opportunity is available to providers seeking part-time or full-time employment.
Our client is a well established practice who provides services include some primary care, medical weight loss and cosmetic care. The atmosphere is warm & welcoming as well as being a collaborative workplace.

Once fully trained, the PA will see an average of 4 patients per hour. Our client prefers a PA to have one year of experience in primary care, but are willing to train the right candidate. If desired, the PA will potentially learn to perform laser hair removal treatments, chemical peels, Ultrashape, Venus Freeze treatments – the number of patients will vary based on the treatment and treatment area.

Some examples of duties include:
  • Evaluate and treat medical weight loss program patients
  • Provide quality, advanced professional care to achieve and maintain optimal health, manage disease and reduce risk of illness
  • Diagnose medical conditions, treating acute or chronic illnesses
  • Perform comprehensive history and physical exams
  • Conduct consultations
  • Order and interpret diagnostic/lab tests
  • Order/perform and interpret EKG tests
  • Prescribe medication including but not limited to FDA approved appetite suppressants according to State and Federal guidelines
  • Conduct follow up calls to patient to discuss patient progress and address any concerns
  • Communicate with supervising doctor regarding patient care and patient progress
  • Maintain and review patient records, charts and other pertinent information
Requirements:
  • Active and clean CT Physician Assistant license
  • 1 year of primary care experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a busy practice and take direction
