Job Summary The Prepress Print Production position responsibilities consist of preparing files and organize daily jobs with operators to meet customers' deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

· Must be able to work with various graphic design and layout software applications commonly used on Mac's and PC's

- Must have the ability to output digital files to various output devices; must have the ability to continue to learn and use new graphics software on an ongoing basis.

· Adjust native files (usually in Adobe Illustrator) to print specifications, customer requirements, press limitations, and production requirements.

· Manage quality control of artwork before it goes to print.

· Assist in workflow and process improvement planning.

Key Skills

· Experience in color profiling to modern printing standards.

· Proficient in preflighting, prepping files, trapping, composing, imposition, layouts, ripping to press, and general troubleshooting.

· Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

· Strong working knowledge of flexographic printing processes

· A sharp eye for content, strong attention to detail, and focus on quality

· Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision

· Responsible, dependable, hard-working, assertive, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

Required education:  High school Diploma or equivalent

Required experience:  Prepress: 3 years
