Job Description

The primary focus of the Urgent Care Physician is to provide general and preventative care for children and adults, in a facility that greatly values its physicians.

Details:

• Full-time, permanent position
• Flexible schedule, totaling fifteen shifts per month
• Two weekends per month
• Treat patients of all ages
• Evaluate patient’s needs, and triage patients between immediate and less urgent care
• Carry out minor surgical operations such as: suturing wounds, draining infections, and more
• Diagnose and treat orthopedic conditions with braces, splints, casts, and other devices
• Treat private, pre-employment workers compensation patients
• Order labs, tests, injections, specialist referrals, and medications
• Supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants

Qualifications

• Training in family, emergency, or internal medicine
• Ability to work with range of patients, from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• Active North Carolina medical license
