Role Description The Sports Performance Coach role is a part-time, on-site position located in Westchester & Dutchess County, NY. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing athletes’ biomechanical movement, designing and implementing individualized training programs, and leading small group and one-on-one coaching sessions. The coach will demonstrate proper technique, monitor progress, adjust programming based on performance data, and maintain a safe training environment. Additional responsibilities may include communicating with athletes and families about goals, collaborating with other coaches, and supporting facility operations as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong Coaching and Training skills, with the ability to lead athletes effectively in individual and group settings.
- Expertise in Athletic Performance and Strength & Conditioning, including developing sport-specific programs.
- Experience or familiarity with Business Coaching, client relationship management, and basic program or session planning.
- Knowledge of biomechanics, exercise science, or related fields, and ability to apply evidence-based practices.
- Relevant certification (e.g., CSCS, NASM, ACE, USA Weightlifting) or a degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for athlete schedules.
