Strategic Workforce Development

Strategic Workforce Development Inc. is a 501(C)3 skilled trades training program working towards Trade Apprenticeship opportunities, employment, and workforce development organization in Kansas City, MO. SWD is Section 3 certified. Our mission people are the re-entry, veterans, youths, women, disadvantaged, and dislocated populations. Our core program, BUILD IT KC, is a successful construction workforce program focusing on the construction industry, skilled trades training/ apprenticeship, and entrepreneurship for our mission people. As a workforce organization, we have created innovative programs where we prepare, train, and mentor our mission population for an enriched life and career success. We take a"people-first” approach to empowering, educating, tackling systemic, long-term inequity, and providing a bridge to financial stability, economic development, and happier communities.
